The Heroic Kids Safety Game is a fun, gamified, single-player app that teaches children K–12 how to avoid bullies and predators — online and in person — and escape dangerous encounters in a way that empowers them instead of frightening them. It was born from a simple, fierce belief: children deserve to know how to protect and defend themselves, and they can learn it through play. Bullies, groomers, and predators count on kids being unprepared. We refuse to let that be true.
Why we built the game
Parents, grandparents, and caregivers tell us the same thing: they worry constantly, but do not know how to teach safety without scaring their kids. Lectures fade. Fear backfires. Research shows that children taught to protect and defend themselves — by yelling, running away, saying "no," or fighting — are far less attractive to predators and stand a significantly greater chance of avoiding or escaping harm.
So we turned those life-saving lessons into a game kids actually love to play. Through safe, replayable missions, children rehearse spotting grooming attempts, avoiding or repelling offenders, and defending themselves if they must — until the right response becomes automatic. We call it building "mental muscle memory," and it replaces a parent's worry with a child's real, practiced confidence.
